FISHING

Superb fishing opportunities. A weeks guided tour for salmon, sea trout, brownies and arctic char amongst the myriad of hill lochs and rivers set in the stunning scenery of Wester Ross. A range of  accommodation to suit.

It is understandable that the great traditional rivers of Scotland hold a magical attraction for the game fisherman and to land a fish, bestowed with all the cunning that nature has instilled, from these waters is probably still the ultimate challenge. But nothing is carved in stone.

The entire Scottish region is abundant with tracts of water and highland lochans that can provide as much variety, challenge and excitement as anywhere else. The smaller rivers, winding through a medley of mixed terrain are neither too wide nor too deep but have produced some splendid sport over the years.

Small but deep hill lochs always justify the effort in getting that little bit further off the beaten track with wild brownies, rainbows, grayling and arctic char distinct possibilities.

"Fishing memories mature into exaggeration, but there is an accumulation of experience that begins to stand one in good stead.
There are no certainties about what will happen and what will not, but there are broad patterns of predictability (mostly about what will not). You begin to be able to appraise a stretch of water, to sense where the fish will be."
